It was like he knew!

Jackson is starting to feel the pain of my pregnancy with me. We had a great night last night, Justin was at work and Jackson was in a great mood and played with his toys (pots, pans, spoons and the remotes) and let mommy rest on the floor with him. We went to bed early and thought it would be a normal night.

Well at 2am he woke up screaming so I went in there and he went right back to sleep, no problem I will go back to sleep too. Well Miss Camryn had other plans. I guess since I disturbed her she thought my lovely morning sickness that has came back should come early this morning. I had the pleasure of wanting to throw up for about 30 minutes but finally fell back asleep. At 4am here we go again, this time I get to throw up and this might be too much information and scare some of you that haven't been pregnant but when you wake up at 4am and only have time to run to the bathroom and you are 34 weeks pregnant with a full bladder, when you throw up you pee too! That was fun as you can only imagine. Woke back up at 5:00 still sick but finally found the Zofran after digging through my car. Jackson decided he wanted to get up with me too so now we are up playing at 5am. Just when I think the Zofran has kicked in and my day will get better, Jackson decides to have one of those lovely diapers that requires a bath, that really helped with the nausea. We got that cleaned up to realize that I am allergic to the medicine they gave me yesterday to get rid of a bladder infection so now my hands and feet are itching so bad I can't stand it and I have a rash. I take some Benadryl, get Jackson ready and we head out the door. Before we left thought I was putting my shoes on and it was like Jackson knew exactly what I needed. He held his arms up for me to put him on the bed then gave me a huge hug and laid his head down on my shoulder for about 10 seconds (thats long for him). It was what I needed to get me through the day. I am at my desk now about to fall asleep from the Benadryl but I think I am going to make it.

My new camera!

I am so excited I finally got a good camera. I love to take pictures and do invitations and all that fun stuff but have never had a great camera. I bought one with money everyone gave me for christmas and my birthday and had a great time playing with it yesterday. I took Jackson and went outside and took a ton of pictures of him playing. The ones of him and Justin playing football turned out so cute! While I thought they were precious they made me want to cry too because Jackson looks like such a big boy in them! It took me forever to get him to be interested in anything other than rolling the patio with the paint roller he found, while I know he was having fun those weren't exactly the cute pictures I was looking for!

Camryn's Nursery

I finally started working on Camryn's nursery! Justin was off this weekend so mom and dad came down and we got everything ready. We are still not finished but we are a lot closer than we were. Mom and I insisted that we get to paint, even though the guys thought it was ridiculous since we are trying to sell the house but we won and we painted! I am so glad we did because I think it made the whole room. We worked on it most of the day Saturday and got Jackson moved to his new room. I was exhausted but mom and dad watched Jackson for us for a couple of hours on Saturday night and Justin and I got to go see and movie and go to dinner which was really nice since it doesn't happen often.

Jackson didn't seem to mind being kicked out of his room, he has adjusted well and slept fine in his new room. He thinks it is really neat that his books are now on a shelf that he can reach. Books are his obsession right now so I have put them all back on the shelf at least 10 times since Saturday. I love that he enjoys reading though because it means he actually slows down for a minute and sits in my lap. We learned yesterday in one of our books how to pick out the kitty cat on every page!

Night night time and hiccups!

Last night was bitter sweet. While it was so cute it made me realize how big my little man is getting. We were all laying on the floor watching American Idol and playing when Jackson decided he was ready for bed. He grabbed his blankie and started dragging it towards his room. So I asked him if he wanted to go night night and he took off to his room, went in and shut the door. Well he then realized it was dark so opened it back up and looked at me like "what are you waiting for, I am tired" I told him to go tell daddy night, night and he walked back to the living room, took his passy out, kissed him said night night and came back. We went in his room he pointed to his shelf and said book, book and picked one out, we read a story, he laid his head down and went to sleep! It was the sweetest thing!

This morning when I left him and daddy were snoozing away in bed together, which was so sweet too and I really wanted to take a picture but since Jackson had got up at 5:30 and Justin took him in the other room and got him to go back to sleep I figured I would be in trouble if I woke him up! He was so sweet propped up on the pillow next to him and must of been dreaming because he had a smile on his face! I still haven't heard from them so I guess they are enjoying sleeping in.

Camryn was been busy since about 5:30 this morning. I guess I have another early riser on my hands because as soon as Jackson started crying this morning she was up too. We are on our 3rd round of hiccups this morning! This has been normal for her lately. I forgot how cute it is when they have the hiccups! I still don't know that it has sunk in that I am going to have 2 kids in about 6 weeks! Mom and dad are coming down this weekend to do the nursery and I am so excited for her to finally have a room!!

Maternity Pictures

We took our maternity pictures this weekend. They turned out really cute and Jackson participated! We had to let him rub lotion on my belly to get him to touch it and Julie must have blown on my belly making a funny noise at least 20 times before we got him to finally kiss it. I wish we would have got a picture of Julie doing it!!

My 30th Birthday

Well I really never thought the day would come that I would actually be 30, it just sounds so old. I realized though after a great weekend that I am so blessed with so many things that there is no way I could justify being depressed about being 30. I started the weekend off with a surprise baby shower thrown by my friends and family. I really was surprised which is amazing to me because I usually am so nosey and controlling that people can't surprise me! They did a wonderful job and Camryn will now be the best dressed baby around. Thank you to everyone!






After the shower Justin drove to Dallas and we had dinner with all of my friends. It was really nice to have a night away, although by 11:30 I was so ready to see Jackson I could hardly stand it. As soon as we got home I fell asleep in the bed cuddling with him. He had a great day with Papaw and came back in the same condition I left him in so I guess you passed the test Papaw!!





Then on Sunday we went to my mom and dad's for a "Birthday Party" which was actually a Cowboy game watching party, which we now realize was a waste of time. The kids played outside, we ate and had cake and went through all of Camryn's stuff. It was actually a pretty calm sunday, which is rare in our family!




Monday was my actual birthday, I stayed at mom and dad's on Sunday night and drove in Monday morning. I woke up to streamers hanging on my door like I used to have when I was little! They also got me the cutest white coat I have been wanting which my dad pointed out "this is for you to wear next year". Like I wasn't aware of the fact that there was no way it was buttoning! I then went to work and got beautiful flowers sent to me from Justin, went to lunch with a friend and dinner with Justin and Jackson. Jackson was absolutely perfect at Roadhouse, which is unusual for him at restaurants lately! I ended the night with the bachelor, cuddling with Jackson and trying to order my new camera (my birthday present), it wasn't working but I should get it ordered today! It was a great weekend that made me realize how blessed I am to have such wonderful friends and family.

I have to give Justin a little credit today. He is off work on his four day and decided to keep Jackson home from daycare so they could spend the day together and run some errands. The day started off with Jackson getting up at 5:00 and Justin getting up with him and taking him to the other room to go back to sleep so I could get some much needed rest. They then got ready and headed to the doctor to make sure the drainage in Jackson's ear was normal, they had lunch at Whataburger and finished by doing all the grocery shopping for me and heading home to make dinner! Knowing Justin I am sure somewhere in there he will manage to squeeze some cleaning in too! I really couldn't ask for a better husband or dad for Jackson. I am so glad I married someone that can take care of not only himself but me too, because as many of you know cleaning is not my thing. I don't know what I would do without him! His schedule allows him to spend so much time with Jackson and help me get things done and I love it! Thanks honey, you're the best!!

2010 Mother of the Year was out the window by noon on January 1st!

On New Years Eve, which ended for me at 10:00pm, Justin and I talked about all the things that were going to be better in 2010. Of course our first one is health. We need him and Jackson to spend the year out of the hospital, emergency room and doctor’s offices. We talked about how excited we were for Camryn to arrive and we pray for a healthy, perfect little girl. We would like the house to sell so we can get settled into Van as soon as possible and get the new house built. Overall we just wanted it to start out being a great year.

Well we started it off by going to Lowe’s. After Justin’s surgery and emergency room visit he was ready to get out of the house. Well of course Lowe’s was packed and we waited in line forever with a very active 15 month old. Finally I got sick of the cashier taking forever so I told Justin to give me the keys and we were going to the car. Well of course Jackson took the keys and he has happy so I let him play with them. I put him in his seat, took the keys and chunked them in the front seat and got out of the back, shut the door and tried to open my door. Well Jackson had locked the car while playing with the keys. I can’t explain the feeling of helplessness that came over me in a matter of a second. I am staring at Jackson in his seat drinking his juice with no way of getting to him. Justin walks up right as I do it and I start telling him to call 911. He is trying to process it and decide if 911 is who we call but after saying it over and over, we call 911. They tell us they will send a locksmith and an officer, it is not hot outside so as long as he is fine and in his seat and can’t hurt himself, he will be fine for a few minutes. Well of course he is pointing at us, laughing, having a great time and I am standing at the window crying my eyes out. The officer gets there and I swear is looking at me like “you are a horrible mother”. A few minutes later here comes the fire truck! As Justin stands there in his Marshall Fire Department hat he just looks at me like I am so embarrassed. Three fireman get out and start trying to get the door open. One is on top of the truck pulling it apart and another shoving the stick down there. Jackson is still happy as can be watching everything. Finally they get the door open and everyone is fine. Jackson never shed a tear but I felt horrible and cried enough for both of us. Needless to say we went home and he got a huge milkshake and tons of hugs and kisses and I learned my lesson on why babies don’t play with keys! I guess it makes since to start the year out with a drama filled day and I should just get over the fact that my life is busy and crazy and that is the way we like it!
